Ingredients
Scale
8 oz pasta (e.g., penne or fettuccine)
1 lb steak (e.g., sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or Monterey Jack)
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook the pasta: Boil your pasta according to the package instructions, drain it, and set it aside.
Sear the steak: In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Toss in the steak strips and Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the veggies: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced bell pepper. Sauté until softened, around 4-5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Make it creamy: Reduce the heat and pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
Combine everything: Mix in the cooked pasta and steak back into the skillet, then stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish and serve: Top it with chopped parsley.
