A delightful and easy-to-make dessert combining creamy cheesecake and sweet cherry flavors, all baked in a fluffy yellow cake.

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cherries, spreading it evenly.
  5. Mix the cake mix with the melted butter and water until just combined, then spread this batter over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a thicker cream cheese layer, double the cream cheese and sugar mixture. You can also sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top before baking for added flavor.
