Delightful cookies combining the tartness of cherries and the sweetness of strawberries for a burst of summer any time.

  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup strawberry puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add cherry pie filling and strawberry puree with vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature butter and avoid overmixing.
