A delightful and moist Cinnamon Apple Cake that combines the warmth of cinnamon with the sweetness of apples, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped and peeled apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch round cake pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugars with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  4. Stir in vanilla, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Stir in the chopped apples and walnuts.
  6. Spoon the mixture into your greased pan.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Cool about 10-15 minutes.
  9. Cut the warm cake into slices and serve with ice cream.
