Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Whipped cream, for serving
  • Fresh berries, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs in another bowl and mix in the milk and vegetable oil.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; don’t overmix.
  5. Grease the waffle iron if necessary, and pour the batter into it. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Serve warm topped with maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh berries.

Notes

Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes for fluffier waffles. Make sure your eggs are at room temperature for better mixing.
