Delicious cinnamon roll bars with a soft, chewy texture and a creamy frosting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 9×13 inch baking pan nicely.
  2. Whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla in another bowl. Mix until well blended.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  8. Top it with the remaining batter.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for frosting until smooth.
  11. Spread the frosting generously on the cooled bars, cut into squares, and enjoy!
