A rich and velvety pie with a smooth chocolate filling and whipped cream topping, perfect for impressing guests or satisfying sweet cravings.

  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the crushed chocolate wafer cookies with the melted butter and press into the pie pan to form a crust. Bake for about 10 minutes and let cool.
  3. Beat together the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the chocolate filling into your cooled crust and refrigerate for about 4 hours or until set.
  5. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes with a stand mixer.
  6. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled pie and garnish with chocolate shavings.
  7. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, chill the pie overnight. Use a glass dish to monitor crust browning and ensure the crust is baked fully.
