A comforting and flavorful one-dish meal featuring creamy sauce, tender chicken, and nutritious broccoli combined with soft orzo pasta.

  • 2 cups cooked orzo pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the cooked orzo, shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, and 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk together heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture over the orzo mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  6. Add breadcrumbs if desired.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain texture.
