Ingredients
Scale
1 lb steak (such as sirloin or ribeye)
2 cups cooked rice
4 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Melt butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Keep an eye on it—don’t let it burn.
Add garlic: Once the butter is melted, toss in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant. This should only take about a minute. Stir often so it doesn’t stick!
Prepare the steak: Season your steak pieces with salt and pepper to taste, then add them to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked to your liking. I like mine medium-rare, so about 4-5 minutes on each side did it for me.
Set steak aside: Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside on a plate. Don’t worry if some bits get stuck; they add flavor!
Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add the heavy cream. Stir to combine it with the buttery garlic goodness.
Combine everything: Return the steak to the skillet, mixing everything together. Let it simmer for a minute or two until heated through.
Serve: Serve the garlic butter steak over a bed of fluffy rice. Garnish with fresh parsley for that pop of color.
Notes
Choose a good cut of steak for the best flavor, and don’t rush the cooking process for a perfect sear.
