Creamy Savory Manicotti

A comforting pasta dish filled with creamy cheese and topped with marinara sauce, perfect for cozy dinners.

  • 12 manicotti shells
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions until they’re al dente. Drain and set aside to cool a bit.
  3. Combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix it well!
  4. Stuff each manicotti shell with the cheesy mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the stuffed manicotti in the dish and cover them with the remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Handle the manicotti shells gently to avoid breakage. Reserve mozzarella cheese for topping.
