Ingredients
Scale
1 lb fresh banana peppers sliced (seeds removed if you prefer less heat)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons sea salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Olive oil spray or other high-heat cooking spray
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Pat the banana pepper slices thoroughly dry with a paper towel. Toss them in the seasoned flour until they are evenly coated on all sides.
Let the coated peppers rest on a plate for about 5 minutes. This helps the coating adhere to the peppers.
Arrange the coated banana peppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary for the best results. Give the tops a generous spray with olive oil.
Air fry for 8 minutes, or until golden-brown and crispy. You can check them around the 6-minute mark to ensure they don’t overcook.
Carefully transfer the crispy peppers to a plate lined with a paper towel. Let them cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce, like Ranch dressing.
Notes
For less heat, ensure to remove the seeds from the banana peppers.
