Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Mix together the shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salsa, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl.
  3. Place a generous amount of the chicken mixture in the center of a tortilla.
  4. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll it up tightly from the bottom.
  5. Place the chimichangas seam-side down on a lined baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
  6. Spray lightly with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or air fry for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Make-ahead by preparing the filling a day in advance. Store in the fridge until ready to assemble and cook.
