A comforting bake that combines French onion soup, tender chicken, and fluffy rice, creating a rich and savory dish that’s perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 3 cups Cooked White Rice
  • 2 cups Shredded Cooked Chicken
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 cup French Onion Soup
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella or Swiss Cheese
  • 1.5 cups French Fried Onions (divided)
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine cooked white rice, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, sour cream, shredded cheese, one cup of French fried onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly until well combined, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and spread the mixture evenly into the dish.
  5. Bake uncovered for approximately 30 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining half cup of French fried onions over the top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Let it cool slightly before garnishing with chopped parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using homemade chicken stock instead of water when preparing the rice. Adjust the seasoning as desired.
