Decadently rich and fudgy brownies topped with a silky-smooth chocolate layer, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Chocolate curls for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the sugar and cocoa powder, stirring often.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the vanilla. Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
  7. For the French silk layer, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add the chocolate chips and whip until fluffy.
  8. Spread the French silk layer over the cooled brownies, and top with chocolate curls.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Let brownies cool completely before adding silk layer for the best texture.
