A quick and easy Garlic Butter Tomato Pasta recipe that transforms basic ingredients into a flavorful meal in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon salt (for pasta water)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Fresh basil leaves, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions. Be sure to taste it a minute before it’s done; it should be al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil and unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté it for about a minute until it’s fragrant.
  4. Toss in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook them until they start to burst and soften, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the tomatoes and garlic. Toss it all together to coat the pasta in that delicious sauce.
  6. Add in your fresh basil and give it another good stir.
  7. Serve it right away with a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.
