A delicious and easy-to-make German Chocolate Poke Cake with layers of chocolate, caramel, and coconut.

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Whipped topping (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix in a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Bake the batter in your prepared baking dish for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using a wooden spoon after letting it cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Mix the sweetened condensed milk with the caramel sauce and pour it over the warm cake.
  6. Top the cake with shredded coconut and chopped pecans.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
  8. Serve the cake with whipped topping.
