Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast the hazelnuts for about 10 minutes, then let cool and chop.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream.
  6. Add sugar, vanilla extract, and salt; fold in the chopped hazelnuts.
  7. Pour the mixture into a cake pan and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Consider chilling your mixing bowl for better whipping results.
  • For a sweeter flavor, semi-sweet chocolate can be used.
  • You can refrigerate the mousse overnight for a firmer texture.
