A light and fluffy angel food cake layered with a creamy fruit mixture, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of angel food cake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the angel food cake mix box.
  2. Combine the angel food cake mix with the cold water and beat until well blended.
  3. Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake according to package instructions.
  4. Prepare the creamy fruit mixture by combining the drained crushed pineapple, whipped topping, mini marshmallows, and nuts in a separate bowl.
  5. Let the cake cool completely after baking.
  6. Turn the cake out onto a serving platter and slice it horizontally into layers.
  7. Spread the creamy fruit mixture between the layers and on top of the cake.
  8. Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve chilled.

Notes

Don’t rush the cooling process and use a serrated knife for cleaner cuts. Taste the creamy mixture and adjust sweetness as needed.
