Deliciously sweet and crispy bites reminiscent of summer fairs, these Homemade Funnel Cake Bites are perfect for snacks or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Whip the wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Combine the mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and mix until just combined.
  4. Get that oil hot: Heat the oil in a deep frying pan to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Fry the bites: Pour spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Drain them off: Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and set on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
