A delightful quick bread filled with the sweet aroma of baked peaches, perfect for quick meals, snacks, or special occasions.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup peach puree or chopped peaches
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, egg, vanilla, peach puree, and buttermilk.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients just until moistened.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor, and avoid overmixing the batter to ensure a light texture.
