Delicious homemade potato tots with a crispy exterior and cheesy center, perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups grated potatoes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the potatoes by peeling and grating them, then soak in cold water for 30 minutes.
  2. Combine the grated potatoes with flour, cheddar cheese, green onions, beaten egg, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into small tots, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Fry in hot oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per batch, flipping for even browning.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.

Notes

These potato tots can be made ahead and refrigerated, and they can also be cooked in an air fryer for a healthier option.
