Delicious homemade pastries filled with your favorite jam, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup of fruit jam (strawberry, raspberry, or your choice)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for icing)
  • Milk (for icing)
  • Optional: fresh fruit or cream cheese for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles (about 4 x 6 inches).
  3. Place a tablespoon of fruit jam in the center of each rectangle.
  4. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
  5. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk for icing and drizzle over cooled strudels.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Let the strudels cool a bit before icing to avoid melting.
