Delightful Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits, blending crispy biscuits and juicy chicken with a sweet and spicy drizzle, perfect for brunch, lunch, or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • Oil for frying
  • Optional: pickles and hot sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Cut in the cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined; don’t over-mix.
  4. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface until smooth, then roll it out to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits.
  5. Place the biscuits on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry chicken tenders until cooked through and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Drizzle hot honey over the cooked chicken to create a glaze.
  8. Assemble by slicing the biscuits in half, adding chicken, and topping with pickles and hot sauce if desired.

Notes

Use cold butter for flaky biscuits. Allow dough to rest for best rise.
