Large Batch Mint Julep Pitcher

A refreshing and festive cocktail perfect for gatherings, made with bourbon, mint syrup, and crushed ice.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups bourbon
  • Crushed ice
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring often until dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and add fresh mint leaves, allowing to steep for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the mint syrup into a pitcher, pressing the leaves to extract all syrup.
  4. Add bourbon to the pitcher and mix well.
  5. Fill glasses with crushed ice, pour the mint julep mixture over, and garnish with fresh mint sprigs.

Notes

For best results, use fresh mint and chill your glasses before serving.
