Ingredients
Scale
1 ounce cotton candy syrup
½ ounce sour apple syrup
½ ounce blue raspberry syrup
½ ounce watermelon syrup or cherry syrup
A splash of lemon-lime soda or sparkling water
A dash of grenadine
Ice cubes
Simple syrup or fresh lemon juice (for the rim)
Crushed jawbreaker candies or popping candy (for the rim)
Optional: Edible glitter
Optional: Colored decorating sugar
Optional Garnishes: Mini jawbreaker candy on a cocktail pick, small tuft of cotton candy, glow stirrer, neon shot glasses
Instructions
Prepare the Glasses: Spread the crushed jawbreakers or popping candy onto a small plate. Lightly dip the rim of each shot glass into simple syrup or lemon juice, then press it into the candy until evenly coated. Let the rims set for a minute before filling.
Mix the Base: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the cotton candy syrup, sour apple syrup, and blue raspberry syrup. Shake well for about 10 to 15 seconds until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
Build the Colorful Shot: Strain the mixture into prepared shot glasses until they are about halfway full. Slowly pour in the watermelon or cherry syrup to create a vibrant swirl. Gently drizzle the grenadine so it settles toward the bottom, creating a colorful layered effect. Finish with a splash of lemon-lime soda or sparkling water for a fun fizzy finish.
Garnish and Enjoy: Top each shot with a mini jawbreaker on a cocktail pick or a small puff of cotton candy if serving immediately. Add a pinch of edible glitter for extra sparkle and serve with a glow stirrer for a festive presentation.
Notes
For cleaner layers, slowly pour each ingredient over the back of a spoon.
Crush the candies gently with a rolling pin or food processor to create the perfect rim texture.
Prepare the candy-coated rims and syrup mixture ahead of time, but wait until serving to add the soda and garnishes so the drink stays bubbly and vibrant.
