A delightful pastry filled with creamy cheese and topped with mixed berries, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Fresh mixed berries (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into rectangles (about 4 x 3 inches).
  3. Mix together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry rectangle.
  5. Top with fresh mixed berries.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, pinching to seal.
  7. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, keep the dough cold and don’t rush the filling step.
