  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite toppings (pepperoni, veggies, olives)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Gradually add warm water and olive oil. Stir until the dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Add more flour if it’s too sticky.
  3. Let it rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 30 minutes.
  4. Shape the pizza: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza stone, aiming for 1/2-inch thickness.
  5. Add your toppings: Spread a layer of pizza sauce on the dough. Top with mozzarella and your favorite toppings.
  6. Bake it!: Place the pizza in the oven for about 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Cool and slice: Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For crispy edges, try pre-baking the dough for about 5 minutes before adding toppings. Don’t overload the pizza to keep it from getting soggy.
