Delicious and easy-to-make cinnamon rolls that are soft, fluffy, and ready to bake in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 24 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Heat the milk and butter together in a saucepan over medium heat until warm.
  3. Combine the warm milk mixture with the dry ingredients and add the eggs to create a soft dough.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let the dough rise overnight in a greased bowl, covered with plastic wrap.
  6. Shape the rolls the next morning by rolling the dough into a rectangle and adding the cinnamon and brown sugar mix.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into about 12 rolls, place in a greased baking dish, and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, then drizzle it over the warm rolls.

Notes

For best results, use fresh yeast and ensure the milk is warm but not scalding when adding the eggs.
