A delightful dish of roasted pears topped with creamy goat cheese and a warm maple walnut drizzle, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe, firm pears
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the pears in half and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Drizzle the pears with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the pears cut side down on a baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine walnuts and maple syrup. Heat over low until warmed and glazed.
  6. Remove the pears from the oven and top each half with crumbled goat cheese and maple walnut drizzle.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Choose Bosc or Anjou pears for optimal results. For added flavor, consider sprinkling cinnamon or nutmeg into the maple syrup.
