A delightful twist on the classic smash burger using buttery croissants for a crispy and flaky experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 croissants
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup and mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Split the croissants in half and lightly toast them.
  3. Shape the ground beef into balls, about 1/4 pound each, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the beef balls on the skillet and smash them down with a spatula, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on top of each, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  6. Assemble the burgers by putting the patties on the bottom half of the croissant, adding lettuce, tomato, pickles, and condiments.
  7. Top with the other half of the croissant and serve immediately.

Notes

Use high-fat ground beef for juicier burgers. Don’t rush the toasting step for better texture.
