A delicious slow-cooked ham glazed with brown sugar, honey, and pineapple, perfect for festive occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked spiral-cut bone-in ham (6–8 pounds)
  • 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple rings in juice
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ cup reserved pineapple juice
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar (for the glaze)
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice (for the glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (for the glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for the glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (for the glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon cold water (if using cornstarch)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional garnish)
  • Extra caramelized pineapple rings (optional garnish)
  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
  • Orange slices (optional garnish)
  • A light drizzle of warm honey (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Remove the fully cooked spiral-cut ham from its packaging. Set aside any glaze packet if included.
  2. Pat the outside of the ham gently with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Ensure your slow cooker is large enough for the ham (7–8-quart is generally suitable).
  4. Place the ham into the slow cooker with the flat cut side facing downward.
  5. If desired, gently separate a few of the spiral cuts to allow the glaze to penetrate between the slices.

Notes

  • Ensure to use a slow cooker that can fit the ham properly.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, you can add cornstarch mixed with cold water.
  • Optional garnishes can enhance presentation and flavor.
