Easy and delicious Sourdough Discard Crackers made from leftover sourdough starter, perfect for snacking or serving with dips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (like rosemary or thyme)
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the sourdough discard, flour, olive oil, salt, and garlic powder until a dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Cut the dough into squares or desired shapes with a knife or pizza cutter.
  5. Transfer the crackers to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle with dried herbs or seeds if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until edges are golden and crispy.
  8. Let them cool before serving.
