Delicious donuts filled with creamy cheesecake and strawberry puree, perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree (fresh or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Stir well!
  2. Combine the wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the egg and mix in the vanilla extract. Add this to the dry ingredients along with the milk. Stir until it’s smooth.
  3. Heat the oil: Fill your deep pan with oil and heat it to about 350°F (175°C). If you don’t have a thermometer, just drop a small bit of the batter in; if it sizzles, you’re good!
  4. Pipe the donuts: If you’re using molds, pipe the batter in; otherwise, you can carefully drop spoonfuls into the hot oil. Fry them until they’re golden brown, about 3–4 minutes each side.
  5. Make the filling: While the donuts are cooling, mix the cream cheese and strawberry puree until it’s smooth and creamy.
  6. Fill the donuts: Once the donuts are cool, carefully fill them with the cheesecake mixture using your piping bag.
  7. Coat with sugar: Roll the filled donuts in powdered sugar and serve immediately. They’re best when they’re fresh!

Notes

Let the donuts cool before filling them to maintain their shape. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding.
