A moist and rich cake covered in a smooth chocolate shell, topped with fresh strawberries for a delightful dessert experience.

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your round cake pan.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry mixture. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 30-35 minutes.
  5. Make the chocolate ganache by heating the heavy cream until boiling, then pour over chocolate chips in a bowl and stir until smooth.
  6. Assemble the cooled cake on a serving plate, pour the chocolate ganache over it, and top with sliced strawberries.
  7. Serve and enjoy the cake with friends and family.

Notes

Let the cake cool completely before pouring the ganache to prevent it from melting off.
