A delightful dessert that blends salty pretzel crust with creamy filling and fresh strawberries, perfect for summer picnics and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water and add sliced strawberries.
  7. Pour the gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Notes

Make a day ahead for best flavor. Use room temperature cream cheese for easier blending.
