A comforting meatloaf stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect for family dinners.

  • 2 pounds ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set it to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the meat mixture: In your large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape and stuff the loaf: Shape the meat mixture into a rectangle, create a trench down the middle, and stuff with shredded mozzarella.
  4. Bake it: Bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the internal temperature hits 160°F (71°C).
  5. Glaze it: About 10 minutes before it’s done, spread ketchup over the top.
  6. Let it rest: Once out of the oven, let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides.
