  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup fruit jam (raspberry or strawberry)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the flour and salt until the dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the baking sheet, slightly flattening each ball.
  6. Make an indentation with your thumb in the center of each cookie.
  7. Spoon a small amount of jam into each indentation.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
