Deliciously roasted Brussels sprouts coated in a savory-sweet teriyaki glaze, perfect for elevating any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts (fresh is best)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, but highly recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. In a big bowl, toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Roast for 20-25 minutes until they’re beautifully crispy.
  5. While those are cooking, make your teriyaki sauce. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Cook over medium heat until it slightly thickens.
  6. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the roasted Brussels sprouts and toss to coat them evenly.
  7. If you want, sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish. Serve warm.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd your pan; this will lead to steaming instead of roasting. Adjust sweetness as preferred.
