- 20 Oreos
- 10-ounce white chocolate candy melts
- Food coloring
- 1 cup sprinkles of choice
- Melt chocolate chips in a large heatproof glass bowl using a double boiler method.
- In a medium saucepan, fill with one or two inches of warm water and bring to simmer over medium heat.
- Once the water is heated, place the glass bowl on top, ensuring it does not touch the water.
- Add the candy melts and stir constantly until about 70% are melted.
- Remove from heat and continue stirring until completely melted and smooth.
- Divide the mixture into bowls if using different colors and add food coloring as desired.
- For a smooth consistency, add a drizzle of coconut or olive oil to the melting chocolate.
- Using two forks, dip each Oreo into the chocolate and transfer to a cooling rack or parchment paper.
- Add sprinkles on top and let cool for a couple of minutes.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chocolate is set.
- If desired, drizzle more chocolate on top using a fork or piping bag.
- Refrigerate again until the chocolate sets.
Notes
- Ensure the glass bowl does not touch the simmering water to avoid burning the chocolate.
- Different food colorings may require different amounts for achieving the desired shade.
- Experiment with various types of sprinkles for different looks.
