Comforting Beef Stroganoff made with tender beef, creamy sauce, and savory mushrooms, perfect for weeknight meals or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Cook the sliced beef with salt and pepper until browned, about 4–5 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until soft.
  5. Thicken the sauce by sprinkling flour over the meat mixture and stirring for about a minute.
  6. Pour in the beef broth gradually while stirring until thickened.
  7. Finish by reducing the heat and stirring in the sour cream until well combined.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
