A delightful blend of rich chocolate and sweet strawberries, this cake is perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup brigadeiro
  • Fresh strawberries for decoration
  • Silky frosting of choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pans.
  2. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in the boiling water until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into your prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool for about 10 minutes before removing them from the pans.
  8. Layer the cakes with brigadeiro and top them with frosting and fresh strawberries.
